Hole 10
Index Hole Number 10, par 4, 407 yards. Again the seashore is on the right side of the fairway and a large fairway bunker parallels the fairway on the left. The wind was behind us.

Erv hit a good drive (driver) down the middle leaving him about 180 yards to the green. He hit a nice straight 4-iron at the green and the ball landed just short and rolled through the green into a sand trap on the back side. The pin was placed just 2 or 3 yards from the edge of the green next to the sand trap and less than 10 yards from the ball. Trying to lift the ball gently out of the sand onto the green, it took Erv 3 tries but he finally put the ball within 3 feet of the pin and 1 putted for a double bogey 6.

Ben hit a good drive but it faded into the bunker on the left side of the fairway. He hit an 8-iron short of the green, missed a chip shot with a wedge and left it short. Another chip shot got him close and he made the putt for a bogey 5.
