Hole 3
Index Hole Number 3, par 4, 330 yard dog-leg left. The green was not visible from the tee because of a line of trees on the left.

Erv's long drive (driver) went through the fairway and stopped in the short rough on the right side of the fairway about 90 yards from the hole. A sand wedge to the green was short of the pin which was placed near the back of the green. He used three putts for a bogey 5.

Ben also hit a driver. The ball was hit extremely well but sliced around the line of trees on the left out of our line of vision. Ben asked the caddy (Dave Cunningham) if he thought the ball was safe and he replied, "I'm optimistic." We found his ball in the middle of the fairway about 40 yards from the green, a drive of about 290 yards. His sand wedge chip shot was short; another chip and 2 putts gave him a bogey 5.
