Hole 9
Index Hole Number 9, par 4, 431 yards. Rated as the 4th most difficult hole on the course, the fairway parallels the seashore. The landing area for the drive is downhill into a narrow valley. The green is at about the same elevation as the tee.

Erv topped his ball off the tee and it went about 50 yards into deep grass of the right rough. A sand wedge got him out into the middle of the fairway again but his ball was on a steep downhill lie about 140 yards from the green. He hit a good 8-iron shot but it was short and landed in a big sand trap in front of the green. His sand wedge out of the bunker went over the green into the rough. He took 2 chips to get on the green and 2 putted for a quadruple bogey 8.

Ben hit a great drive more than 300 yards down the middle of the fairway and ended up with a slightly uphill lie about 100 yards from the green. He hit a pitching wedge onto the green but 3- putted for a bogey 5.
